PHILADELPHIA, PA – For the second year in a row, CompuData is proud to support the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Pitch initiative to provide rising female founders in the Greater Philadelphia Region with advice, support and opportunities to improve their business pitch, secure funding and grow their business. The AWE Pitch is distinct from other accelerator and incubator programs in that it focuses on scaling female founded businesses.
Earlier this fall, program participants attended prep sessions to improve their pitch skills. On November 12, 2018, eight dynamic finalists will compete in front of a panel of distinguished female founders and seasoned founders for the coveted AWE Pitch Prize. This year’s AWE Pitch winner will receive a $10,000 prize, all of which is donated by AWE’s established female founders and leaders, $5,000 in free legal services from Pepper Hamilton with admittance to their program for startup and early-stage entrepreneurial development, an AWE membership, a designated mentor, and introductions to AWE’s partner network. The AWE Pitch prize will be presented at The Intersection, an event that brings together AWE’s expansive network to identify new founders with promise, connect founders who have already achieved, and recognize the community that supports both of their efforts to grow.
“It is incredibly important for established female leaders to support the next generation of female-led startups,” Angela Nadeau, CompuData CEO, states. “AWE gives female-driven companies a platform to scale, grow, and get funding in what is often a male-dominated space.”
